Overview

A comprehensive, participative course, providing the knowledge and tools to segment and analyse opportunity & risk within emerging hydrogen economies

The ‘hydrogen economy’ was first described fifty years ago, but failed to develop. Now hydrogen is making a comeback, with unprecedented momentum from both policymakers and industry amid a background of energy decarbonisation. Nevertheless, given its failure in the past, current investors and business developers in the sector are strongly advised to ensure they understand the complexities and competitive environments of the hydrogen landscape. This new course combines an excellent overview of the different elements of the clean hydrogen sector with a series of critical thinking and analysis exercises which provide clear guidance on market assessment requirements, including key opportunity and risk influences.

After providing an excellent and comprehensive introduction to the key building blocks of the clean hydrogen supply chain, from production to delivery, the course moves on to a critical assessment of the market environment(s) in which hydrogen hopes to compete. This will include discussions around competing technologies and the strengths and weaknesses of hydrogen in the context of a variety of market opportunities. Finally, our assessment will focus in more detail on the requirements for hydrogen growth in key applications within the energy and industrial sectors.

Benefits of Attending

  • Receive a comprehensive, hype-free briefing on hydrogen market developments from an independent voice
  • Identify the key requirements for an effective market assessment process
  • Participate in interactive discussions and exercises, including ‘SWOT’ analyses, stakeholder and risk mapping and more
